Join us for the 38th Annual Summer Lecture Series, held on Wednesday nights in July and August at 7 p.m. This free event is held in the Norm Dicks Visitor Center Auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and attendance is limited to 100. On July 23, the subject is shorebirds and their remarkable adaptations. Shorebirds are a fascinating group of birds that have adapted to their environment physically, behaviorally, and physiologically to improve their chances of survival. David Slater will lead a photo discussion to help us better enjoy 5 Washington shorebirds.
David Slater earned his Master of Science degree in zoology and has had a varied career as a marine biologist, radiobiologist, environmental chemist, and project management consultant.
