Attention Northern Hardwood Cross-country Ski and Hiking Trail Users.
Northern Hardwoods Trail users please be aware of the possibility of falling limbs/trees in the area. Due to Beech Bark Disease there are many dead trees in the hardwood forest, limbs or branches may fall unexpectedly. Use these trails at your own risk. They are especially dangerous during high wind events. Alternatively, you may hike anywhere on the Refuge.
