A general Refuge User Permit is required for all activities on Dale Bumpers White River National Wildlife Refuge. The permit is free and can be found at most refuge entry points, at the visitor center, and online. Simply sign your name in the white box at the bottom of the page, signifying that you read and understand all of the regulations, and carry it with you. Permits are not transferable.

Dale Bumpers White River National Wildlife Refuge has two quota hunts per unit, which are the Modern Gun Deer Hunt and the Muzzleloader Deer Hunt. Please see "How to apply for Quota Hunts" below. Follow the instructions to be eligible for those hunts. Also, there is a Youth Modern Gun Deer Hunt and a Mobility Impaired Deer Hunt that takes place on the Cook's Lake Unit in cooperation with Arkansas Game and Fish Foundation.

Visitors may print out their user permit and retain it in the field as their official permit. Both of the documents listed below must be printed out and with the user at all times (large files may take a few minutes to download).
