Hoar frost forms during the winter when there is evening fog and no wind. In the morning, as soon as the wind blows or the sun begins to shine, the hoar frost is quickly gone. This coyote was looking for a morning breakfast of meadow vole on Seedskadee National Wildlife Refuge.
