Hunting
Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge is mainly bottomland hardwood forest habitat along the East Fork of the Clarks River in western Kentucky. This makes it a popular location for upland game, turkey and deer hunting. The most-hunted species at the refuge is deer, with significant use by both residents and non-residents.
Hunters may pursue waterfowl on refuge lands during state seasons. Annual quota waterfowl hunts are held for hunt dates during the state season except during modern gun and muzzleloader deer seasons. Applications for the quota hunt will be accepted September 1st through October 15th each year. Quota hunt applications can be accessed at Rec Access.
