Six miles of trails provide easy hiking opportunities. Follow the interpretive signs along the 1-mile Icicle Creek Nature Trail and learn about the wildlife near the river. This trail is mostly paved and has many benches along the way for resting and enjoying the scenery. Other trails head south towards Sleeping Lady Resort on the near side of the diversion channel, or cross the spillway bridge and follow the diversion channel or Icicle Creek south to the Structure 2 bridge. Some trails can be accessed from the parking area off East Leavenworth Road.

Enjoy the wildlife you encounter along the way from a respectful distance. It's not uncommon for hikers to spot black bears in summer months. Keep an eye out for poison ivy too: there is some near the picnic shelter and more at the south end of the island. And remember to Leave No Trace. There are no trash cans along our trails, so please pack it in, pack it out!
