Dogs are welcome on the grounds and trails at Leavenworth National Fish Hatchery, where there are many excellent trails and spaces for walking your dog. All must be kept on leash AND under their owner's control at all times. This is for the safety of your pet, the health of the ecosystem, and the well being of other visitors. People have reported their dogs being trampled by aggressive does protecting their fawns on the hatchery trails. Black bears, cougars, snakes, ticks, and poison ivy are other concerns. Dogs may not enter the Visitor Center or other hatchery buildings. During winter months we ask that dogs not enter the groomed ski trail and sleigh ride areas.

We hope that you and your four legged friend enjoy your visit! Please remember to pick up after your dog, and respect the wildlife and other visitors who may not appreciate interacting with your dog as much as your dog enjoys interacting with them!
