Walk for the Wild 5K

Friends of Loess Bluffs is raising money through this special Walk for the Wild event on October 8th. Your support helps pay for public education efforts and needed improvements to your national wildlife refuge national wildlife refuge
A national wildlife refuge is typically a contiguous area of land and water managed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service  for the conservation and, where appropriate, restoration of fish, wildlife and plant resources and their habitats for the benefit of present and future generations of Americans.

Join our event for free and/or make a donation to support your national wildlife refuge. Walk along a portion of the auto tour road that is closed to vehicles. The route is a an out-and-back walk on level terrain, with vistas of the waterfowl pools and woodland habitat. Walk at your own page and talk to refuge staff and volunteers. First 30 participants to register receive a free T-shirt!
