Join us for a guided bird walk along Sour Springs Road at Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge and experience one of the best ways to enjoy the refuge—through birding! This walk will take participants through a variety of habitats where wetlands, fields, and forest edges attract a wide range of bird species. Spring is an active time for birds, so we’ll keep an eye and ear out for singing songbirds, waterfowl, raptors, and other wildlife along the route. Staff and volunteers will help point out birds, share interesting facts about their behavior and migration, and offer tips for identifying species by sight and sound. This relaxed walk is perfect for beginners and experienced birders alike who want to spend time outdoors and discover the birds that call the refuge home. Binoculars are recommended if you have them!
