Muscatatuck will celebrate sandhill cranes on Saturday, Feb. 4 with special programs and viewing tours starting from the Visitor Center. Information will be available on self-guided drives visitors may take near the refuge to see cranes, and at 10 am and 2 pm staff will lead car-caravan tours to crane viewing areas off-refuge. In early February large numbers of cranes are normally in the area and very good viewing opportunities should be available near farm fields close to the refuge.
