lakes are popular at times with anglers, including Cottonwood Lake in southern McHenry County and Buffalo Lake in southeastern Pierce County. During a series of wet years, fishing can be excellent for northern pike and walleye. There are no facilities for anglers, and vehicle access is limited to designated trails.

Fishing Regulations

Fish Houses     Fish houses may be used for ice fishing in accordance with State regulations. Fish houses may not be left unattended on uplands or in parking areas.



 
Equipment RemovalBoats, motor vehicles, fishing equipment, and other personal property (excluding fish houses) must be removed at the end of each day.
