Piping plover walking on a Delaware bay beach

Fowler Beach at Prime Hook NWR is closed from March 1st through September 30th each year for shorebird nesting. Piping plovers arrive the first week of March. This plover, which biologists call "Angel", was photographer on Fowler Beach 3/6/2023.
