Midway Atoll National Wildlife Refuge is host to the largest remaining colony of albatross in the world. The colony can include more than 500,000 nests on a given year. This image shows typical nest density in areas without the invasive plant, verbesina. Image taken from USFWS Pacific Region Flickr page.
