At Upper Souris National Wildlife Refuge

Motorized fishing boats are allowed on Lake Darling from May 1 through September 30 in the area extending from Highway 28 south to Lake Darling Dam. Six boat ramps are available for launching. Recreational activities such as swimming, water‑skiing, sailing, personal watercraft use, and other non‑fishing boating are not permitted.

The Mouse River Canoe and Boat Trail, a 10‑mile round‑trip route west of Renville County Memorial Park, allows both motorized and non‑motorized boats.
