At Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge

With 50% of the refuge in water and multiple spots to launch a kayak and/or canoe for a peaceful paddle.  All refuge impoundments and some refuge bays are seasonally closed Nov. 15th – Mar. 15th. 

A list of refuge boat ramps seasonally closed from November 15 - March 15 include: 

  • Swayne Point 
  • Bobcat Den
  • Mansard Island
  • LCM Landing
  • Pool 1 ramp
  • Grassy Lake
  • Clear Lake
  • Gaynor Slough
  • Nix Landing
  • Busseltown Boat Ramp
