Fishing

At Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge

Fishing is allowed on navigable waters accessed by the Cass River boat launch and from two launch sites outside of the refuge. No fishing is permitted within enclosed (diked) waters. Open areas include the Shiawassee, Cass, and Tittabawassee Rivers. Major species of fish that utilize the refuge include white bass, walleye, channel catfish, and carp. Walleye catch occurs primarily on the Tittabawassee River.
