At Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge

Biking the Refuge is a great way to see wildlife and get some exercise too! 

  • The Rocky Mountain Greenway Trail, trails south of 64th Avenue, and at 96th Avenue and Chambers are open to bicycles and Class 1 e-Bikes. 
  • Parking lots at 56th Avenue and Uvalda Street, 56th Avenue and Chambers Road, and 96th Avenue and Chambers Road, provide additional visitor access. 
  • Bicycle racks are located at the Visitor Center, South Lake Ladora, North Lake Ladora, and Lake Mary Learning Center (formerly the Contact Station) parking lots. 
  • Bicycles and Class 1, 2, and 3 e-Bikes can ride on Refuge roads, but are not permitted when the road becomes a one way only. 
  • Bikes are not permitted in the bison enclosure areas. 
  • Trails open to bicycles are also open to hiking, and be sure to stop at stop signs at trail intersections. 
  • Please stay on the trail to protect habitat.

There is a bike repair station and air pump at the intersection of 64th Avenue and Havana Street.
