About Nathan Hurner

Nathan Hurner is a Public Affairs Specialist for the Reno Field Office for the Fish and Wildlife Service. Nathan graduated with a degree in Marketing (digital communications) from Arizona State University in 2021 before hiking and completing the Pacific Crest Trail that same summer. Nathan has experience in landscape and photojournalistic photography as well as business marketing strategy. Nathan is working to connect people to nature and wildlife, especially with what is in people's 'backyards', through the use of effective and creative storytelling. He is a co lead on Region 8's Creative Communications Committee.
