Gallery Exhibit - Bill Reichhardt

Artist Bio

I have been taking pictures since my childhood.  As my family was stationed around the world, I experienced many different cultures and environments.  Now fully retired, I am pursuing my passion for travel with my wife Sharon, photography and sailing in Chesapeake Bay.

Most of my current work involves birds, wildlife, and macro photography. Beyond the limitless opportunities available in our local refuges, I have been fortunate to travel to Ecuador, Patagonia, Belize and twice to Africa within the last two years. I am still editing images from those trips.

My work has been published in three past calendars for Friends of Quiet Waters Park, and prior exhibits include the Hollingsworth Gallery, Ginger Cove and recently at 49 West in Annapolis with the Maryland Federation of Art. I am a member of the Digital Photography Club of Annapolis and the Nature Photographers Network.

For me, photography is the art of seeing beyond the obvious and telling a story or capturing a feeling in a moment that will never be repeated. I learn something from every image.
