Annual Spring Beach Cleanup

The Friends of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge collaborates with the Refuge to organize volunteers to help clean up winter trash on the 10 miles of protected Refuge beach before the nesting shore birds such as piping plover and least terns return for breeding. 

Meet us at the Lot #1 Visitor Center on the Refuge on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 9 AM until 3 PM for directions to areas to be assigned, receive trash bags, trash pickers and instructions.  Also seeking volunteers to help trim back brush on the boardwalks and trails, trimming equipment provided. Wear weather appropriate clothing!   Work gloves are highly recommended. No need to sign up, just show up any time!
