About Us
The New England Field Office is part of the North Atlantic-Appalachian Region and is located in Concord, NH. Our staff works to conserve, protect, enhance, and restore the fish, wildlife, and
plant resources throughout the ecologically diverse New England area, from the sandy shores of Cape Cod to the rocky summits of the White Mountains.
What We Do
The conservation of our nation's most imperiled species and their habitats is at the heart of what we do. From reviewing federally funded or authorized projects to working to restore fish passage fish passage
Fish passage is the ability of fish or other aquatic species to move freely throughout their life to find food, reproduce, and complete their natural migration cycles. Millions of barriers to fish passage across the country are fragmenting habitat and leading to species declines. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's National Fish Passage Program is working to reconnect watersheds to benefit both wildlife and people.
