Volunteer Restoration Plantings

Come out this winter and help us restore native habitats around the Refuge and landscape around the new Wildlife Center and Headquarters.  Come prepared rain or shine with sturdy boots, work gloves, and drinking water.   No registration needed.  Meet at designated location.  For more information call Chris Lapp at 503-625-5944.

Winter 2007-2008 planting schedule--
All volunteer planting parties meet on the following Saturdays from 9:00a.m.-12:00p.m.
  • December 8th--meet at Wildlife Center
  • January 12th--meet at Wildlife Center
  • February 9th--meet at Wildlife Center
  • February 23th--meet at Wildlife Center
  • March 8th--meet at Wildlife Center
  • March 23--meet at Wildlife Center

Wildlife Center

Beginning in Fall, we are looking for volunteers to help staff the Wildlife Center information desk and the Friends nature store.  Please contact Kim Strassburg at 503-625-5944 or the Friends store committee via email,, if you are interested. No experience necessary as we will train.
