Tijuana Slough NWR Research and Surveys

This activity was first evaluated and found compatible on the Tijuana Slough NWR in 1994 when the proposed use was evaluated in an environmental assessment (EA), dated September 14, 1994. The use was reviewed again in 2000 in conjunction with the Comprehensive Management Plan (CMP) prepared for the Tijuana River National Estuarine Research Reserve and Tijuana Slough NWR and the accompanying EA. In accordance with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Policy (603 FW 2.11H(2)), which requires the reevaluation of such uses every ten years, we have prepared an updated Compatibility Determination (CD) for Research and Surveys on this refuge. This use and its compatibility with refuge purposes is described in a draft CD.
