Removal of Smith Mills Dam

Smith Mills dam was constructed in 1905 to form a small reservoir that supplied water to the Village of Silver Creek, NY. More recently, the dam was no longer functioning as designed and was considered a risk to public safety due to its dilapidated condition and it was decided to remove the dam and restore the area to a more natural state.
