Build your Resume: After you complete your profile, you will need to build your resume. Saved searches will automatically search for jobs based on your search criteria and email you when new jobs are available. You can manage your saved search from your account, and you can maintain up to 10 searches at a time.

Submit application: When you find a job you are interested in, be sure to read the vacancy announcement carefully to make sure you meet the eligibility and qualifications required for the position. Then, click the 'Apply' button and attach your USAJOBS resume. You may be asked for additional documents, if they are listed in the job announcement. Follow the steps to attach all required documentation. You’ll then be taken to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s application system to complete the application process.

Provide additional information: Once you have been transferred to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service application system, you will see summary information about the job. Next, you must complete the assessment questionnaire. When you have answered all questions, you will be asked to review your application before submitting. After you submit all the required documents, the online application and a completed questionnaire, you will be re-directed back to USAJOBS. You will receive an acknowledgement email that your submission was successful (this email is not a job offer).

Congratulations! You have now submitted your application. You may return at any time before the announcement closes to update or make changes to your application. You must complete the update and resubmit prior to 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the closing date of the announcement.

Now that your profile and resume are saved, you may use it to apply to other positions.
