Service Sends Updated Coastal Barrier Resources System Maps to Congress for Units in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida

(CBRS) units located in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Florida. Five of these maps reflect the Service’s final recommended changes to units in Okaloosa and Walton Counties, Florida, and Beaufort and Charleston Counties, South Carolina, following a comprehensive review. Two of these maps reflect minor and technical corrections to units in Walton County, Florida, and Onslow County, North Carolina, to address errors identified by the Service in recent years. These revised CBRS maps will only take effect if they are adopted through legislation enacted by Congress.
