Youth Waterfowl Education and Duck-Banding Day at McNary National Wildlife Refuge
Discover how to band a duck, build a wood duck box, and identify pond life. Members from Ducks Unlimited and the Richland Rod and Gun Club will be on hand to teach youth of all ages about wildlife conservation through a variety of outdoor activities. Join us for the Youth Waterfowl Education and Duck-Banding Day, formerly known as Greenwing Day, at McNary National Wildlife Refuge's Environmental Education Center on Saturday, August 13th from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Duck-banding will begin at 8:00 a.m. sharp. This event is sponsored by Ducks Unlimited, Richland Rod and Gun Club and the Friends of the Mid-Columbia River Wildlife Refuges. It is free and open to the public.
The McNary National Wildlife Refuge Environmental Education Center is located at 311 Lake Road in Burbank, WA. From the Tri-Cities, go east on I-182 and US Highway 12 to Burbank.
