About Tim Mockler
Tim works in Autofish marking trailers to carry out fish marking (adipose fin clipping) and CWT tagging projects at federal, state, and local salmonid hatcheries throughout the Pacific Northwest. He also participates in a variety of PIT tagging projects at these locations for smolt monitoring and other studies. When marking operations are slow, he helps hatchery staff within the Columbia River Gorge National Fish Hatchery Complex with their daily tasks, including spawning/egg treatment/feeding of fry/and cleaning ponds.

Background:
Tim attended Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania from 2017-2021, graduating with a B.S. in Environmental Science. In 2020, he completed an internship program through the USFWS, during which he worked at Creston National Fish Hatchery in northwestern Montana and initiated a revision of the Fish Hatchery Management Textbook. After graduating from college, he held an Interpretive Naturalist position at Okefenokee Swamp Park in Waycross, Georgia for a short time before accepting his current position with the CRFWCO.
