About Paul Rauch
As Acting Deputy Director of Operations Paul Rauch oversees the day-to-day field operations of the Service, including providing executive direction through the Regional Directors, Native American programs, and the National Conservation Training Center.
Paul has served as the Assistant Director for Office of Conservation Investment since 2016 where he has led transformational change in the program and built a strong team that is partnering with others to advance the Service mission and conservation work across the nation. He is a recognized national leader in building coalitions while ensuring the integrity of the Service’s $2 billion per year financial assistance portfolio.
Paul grew up in a small farming community in western Oregon. He earned a B.S. in Geology form Oregon State University in 1986, and an M.S. degree in Hydrology from University of Nevada in 1989.
