About Clare Maffei (she/her)

Clare works out of the joint USGS/FWS Native Bee Lab. As a pollinator biologist for the Service, Clare supports project managers conducting pollinator surveys and completes the bee identification for FWS collections. She is also building teaching materials to prepare all Service employees to fulfill pollinator conservation priorities. Clare came to the Service through the DFP Program and served in an Ecological Services Office before placement. The Native Bee Lab is a beautiful place to visit and explore native plants and their pollinators!
