    20th annual Kids’ Fishing Rodeo is a success

    On the morning of June 10, a total of 2,000 nine-inch rainbow and 10 large display rainbow trout and brook trout were released in the creek below the Dale Hollow National Fish Hatchery in Tennessee for the 10th annual Kids’ Fishing Rodeo. Held in celebration of National Fishing and Boating Week, the rodeo is open to young people aged 15 and under.     33rd annual Catch a Rainbow Kids Fishing Rodeo

    Description What began as a small event in 1986 has now blossomed into one of the largest events of its kind in the country. This year’s 33rd Annual Catch A Rainbow Kids Fishing Derby is scheduled for Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery.     Early childhood educator workshop

    Description Join us at Wolf Creek National Fish Hatchery for an early childhood education workshop featuring Getting little feet wet, Environmental Experiences, Project Wet and Project Learning Tree. The workshop cost is $22, which covers PLT curriculum, GLFW provided by Division of Water; lunch provided by Friends of Wolf Creek NFH.
