Arrowwood Wetland Management District in Pingree, North Dakota, has cooperative agriculture opportunities for livestock grazing on 10 waterfowl production area waterfowl production area
Waterfowl production areas are small natural wetlands and grasslands within the National Wildlife Refuge System that provide breeding, resting and nesting habitat for millions of waterfowl, shorebirds, grassland birds and other wildlife. Virtually all waterfowl production areas are in the Prairie Pothole Region states of Iowa, Minnesota, Montana, North Dakota and South Dakota.

units. Grazing agreements will be 5 years in length. Grazing units range in size from 45 to 250 acres.

Application packets are available at the Arrowwood National Wildlife Refuge office, 7780 10th St. SE, Pingree, ND 58476. You can also request a packet be mailed to you by contacting District Manager Stacy Whipp by phone at 701-285-3341 ext. 103(o) or 701-269-1690 (c), or by email at Stacy_Whipp@fws.gov. Applications may be submitted by mail, email or in person to the refuge office at the addresses above. Applications must be received no later than 4 p.m. CST on October 19, 2022.

Successful applicants will be selected through an open and competitive process. All applicants will be notified of results by November 7, 2022.
