Special Features

  • ADA-accessible historical interpretive trail from Visitor Center to viewing platform
  • Crosses historic Upper Dam
  • Pedestrians only
  • Off-trail hiking allowed only Aug 1 - Jan 31 to protect nesting birds


EAST DIKE TRAIL

  • Grade: Gentle
    • GENTLE SLOPE: average slope 0% to 5%
    • MODERATE SLOPE: average slope 5% to 8%
    • STEEP SLOPE: slope of 8% or more

Special Features

  • East of Tio Lane entrance - goes to New York Canal
  • Good birding
  • Walking leashed dogs, jogging, biking, horseback riding allowed
  • Off-trail hiking allowed all year


GOTTS POINT TRAIL

  • Surface: Refuge road

Special Features

  • Trail from Greenhurst Rd entrance to just north of Gotts Point
  • Closed to all entry Oct 1 - Jan 31 to protect wintering birds; off-trail hiking allowed rest of year




KINGFISHER TRAIL
