![]() Hunting is not permitted in the refuge, but fishing is permitted.
![]() There are brochures and displays about the refuge available at the National Key Deer Refuge visitor center located on Big Pine Key.
Visitors can observe and photograph wildlife by boat, and some islands are accessible. The refuge has many tidal flats that wading birds use for foraging throughout the day, providing excellent viewing opportunities. Please visit the National Key Deer Refuge visitor center for information regarding restricted access areas.
