Wildlife Observation
Egmont Key National Wildlife Refuge is managed through a cooperative agreement with the State of Florida as a state park. It is open year round from sun rise to sun set; however, there are no overnight facilities and/or camp grounds. Camping on the island is prohibited.

Two wildlife sanctuaries, one located on the south end of Egmont Key and the other located on the east or bay side of the island, are closed to the public year round. These areas are marked by signage.
