Environmental Education
Bandon Marsh Refuge offers Nature of Learning opportunities for students. It encourages schools to visit the coast to learn about the wildlife and habitat protected under the National Wildlife Refuge System. Refuge educators can also bring science-based lessons into classrooms through the use of colorful slide shows, interactive wildlife activities, and animal mounts.

Hunting is allowed in the refuge west of U.S. Highway 101 and north of Bandon city limits. Hunters must comply with all State and Federal regulations.

Wildlife Observation
Late summer, fall, and spring are the best times for birdwatching, especially for shorebirds. Bandon Marsh Refuge is located just north of Bandon, Oregon. There are boat launches at the Port of Bandon as well as sea kayak and canoe rentals.
