Nature Tram

Join us for a lively introduction to Santa Ana NWR and the history of the lower Rio Grande Valley. The comfortable open air tram traverses the 7-mile wildlife drive in a little more than an hour. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and a cooperating association run the tram from November through May.

Santa Ana NWR has an exciting and rewarding volunteer program. Volunteers spend their time helping with important environmental education projects, assisting visitors, leading nature walks, building boardwalks and trails, supporting administrative needs and many other important jobs. Call the Refuge to find out how you can be part of this exciting volunteer opportunity or visit us at www.vol.gov/gov.
