The Anna’s hummingbird is the only hummingbird to stay year round on the Pacific coast. Its nest is about the size of a half dollar and its eggs are the size of a small jellybean. It is the only U.S. hummer with a rose-colored crown and throat. Like most hummingbirds the Anna’s also eats insects and spiders. It also feeds its babies nectar as well as insects and spiders.
