Beginning Painting for Nature Lovers

1:00--3:00 Every other Friday starting on January 17, 2020

Learn the basic concepts required to capture the beauty of nature. Leave the session with your own 5x7 canvas which can be turned into a postcard.

8 Participants Maximum

For January classes, register by calling the Visitor Center at (850)925-6121.

Starting with February classes, Register online.

Please Bring:
• Paint shirt or smock
• Chilly weather clothing
• Beverage and snacks
• Can do attitude 

All materials provided at no charge
• Meet at the Visitor Center
• Classes held outdoors when possible or inside if nasty weather

About your Instructor
St. Marks NWR Volunteer Jan Alexander has a BA in interior design and has taught art history and other art/design courses at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Tec de Monterrey in Culiacán, Mexico. She works in a variety of mediums and has painted everything from watercolor landscapes to coconuts, to custom furniture to wall murals, to paper art to golf carts. Jan is no stranger to juried competition, having won awards for her paper art.
