Seeking Public Input

Sequoyah National Wildlife Refuge, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act of 1969, has prepared an Environmental Assessment (EA) as part of a Wild Turkey Hunt Plan.


Wild Turkey will be new to the Refuge hunting program. The public is being invited to review the draft hunt plan and EA and provide comments.

The purpose of the proposed Hunt Plan is to provide additional quality wildlife dependent recreational opportunities at the Refuge. Through this scoping process, the Refuge is seeking public input to facilitate identification of issues and concerns.

Comments will be accepted until July 2, 2019.
