Migratory Bird Trunk

Belted Kingfisher

The belted kingfisher is a beautiful little bird that often perches on the edge of a pond or stream watching for small fish to come close to the surface. When they spot one they quickly dive in, in pursuit of their prey.

The Migratory Bird trunk is a useful tool when educating your students about migration. Hundreds of birds migrate from the South to the North and vice versa. As the birds migrate, they stop at various wetlands and forests in search of food as their fuel. They are one of nature’s amazing wonders.
