Homeschool Classes

A set of scheduled monthly 2 hour programs provide homeschool families a chance to learn about nature through hands-on activities at the refuge.  Each year the set of classes follows a different theme to guide student learning.  Reservation forms, student worksheets, and past worksheets can be found below.

2018-2019 School Year

This year we are partnering with the Aulds Branch of the Bossier Parish Library to offer morning sessions at the refuge and afternoon sessions at the library, all about the 5 senses as they relate to wildlife!  Due to a great turnout at our first class in September registration is now closed for our homeschool classes.  If you're looking for other ways to engage your family at the refuge check out our upcoming special events posted on our homepage!

 2017-2018 School Year
