Pee Dee National Wildlife Refuge offers a number of public hunting opportunities.  Along with a North Carolina hunting license, a signed refuge permit is required for all hunts.

Quota Hunts

Hunting for deer and turkey with any type of firearm is allowed only as a part of the quota hunt system.  All firearms deer and turkey hunt permits are issued through this quota drawing system.  Hunters must apply for these hunts and be drawn in order to purchase a quota permit.  The permit fee for successful applicants is $12.50.

Deer hunt applications are available from May through mid-July, and turkey hunt applications are available from January through mid-February. Contact the refuge office for hunting applications and additional information.
