Refuge Visitor Center Open Mon-Sat, 10a-3p


As of 0800 on November 1, 2017, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has planned a re-opening of National Key Deer Refuge on Big Pine Key, and Key West and Great White Heron National Wildlife Refuges.  Crocodile Lake National Wildlife Refuge on Key Largo remains closed as it has always been, with access through organized volunteer activities and guided walks.

The Refuge Visitor Center at the Winn Dixie shopping plaza on Big Pine Key is now open Monday- Saturday from 10 am-3pm.  Blue Hole and Nature Trail public use areas are now open dawn to dusk.
