Join the Friends of Hackmatack on April 27 and 28, 2019 for World Migratory Bird Day. This two-day bird extravaganza includes bird banding with USFWS biologists, guided bird walks, and activities to learn more about birds.

Activities at all sites are listed below. In collaboration with USFWS, McHenry County Conservation District, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, Friends of Volo Bog and McHenry County & Lakeland Audubon Societies. Activities for kids & adults!

Event Details

April 27 –8 a.m. - Noon: Lost Valley Visitor Center, Glacial Park, Ringwood, IL. Come to the launch of the 3-week birding marathon!

April 28 – 8 a.m. -10:30 a.m.:Hackmatack NWR Turner Tract, N541 County Highway H, Genoa City, WI (Take lane by NWR sign)

April 28 – Noon - 4 p.m.:Volo Bog State Natural Area, 28478 West Brandenburg Rd., Ingleside, IL
