Burgess Marsh
The renovated Burgess Marsh
After years of flooding the drought brought the ability for Refuge staff to work areas that they previously couldn't. Burgess Marsh was overrun with beavers, button bush, reed canary grass, and willows. The refuge staff used prescribed fire and heavy equipment to overhaul the marsh.
