2.25 miles one way from the Bay Trail that begins at the Sunnyvale Water Pollution Treatment Plant.

Amenities and Uses
Parking, chemical toilet available at Carl Rd. trailhead, waterfowl hunting in ponds, observation platform, hiking, bicycling. No pets.

Trail Surface
Flat, compacted gravel levee.

Additional Uses
From Carl Rd. Trailhead: Waterfowl hunting in designated areas within the salt ponds is permitted mid-October to late January. Check signs and refuge website for exact dates. 

Highlights
Connects the Bay Trail from the Sunnyvale Water Pollution Treatment Plant to Mountain View via a walking and biking trail. This is one of the best places to see waterfowl in the winter. 

Connections to Other Trails
Connects with Stevens Creek East Trail, Stevens Creek Trail, and Shoreline at Mountain View. 

Directions to Trailhead
From HWY 880 or HWY 101, exit HWY 237 to Alviso. Exit Caribbean Dr. and head north. Turn right on Borregas Ave. At the stop sign in front of the water pollution treatment plant, take a left onto Carl Rd. and park in the far parking lot.
