Trail Surface
Flat, compacted dirt levee. Trail turns to mud after rain.

10,000 ducks! And solitude! By the time the trail meets Coyote Creek, you are far from human development. The route makes an excellent bike ride as the Alviso Slough Trail connects with the Mallard Slough Trail making possible a 12.3 mile loop. A 0.5 mile Mallard Slough Trail spur to view Drawbridge is also possible.

Directions to Trailhead
The trailhead is located at the Alviso Marina. From HWY 237, exit Lafayette/Gold St. and drive north onto the Gold St. connector then left onto Gold St. and left onto Elizabeth St. Turn right onto Hope St. and follow it to the marina. To reach the trailhead, walk east toward, then past, the restrooms. The trail starts at the metal gate.
