Marshlands Road Bridge Replacement and Road Improvement Project

Marshlands Road Bridge Replacement Project

The small bridge on Marshlands Road near the entrance of refuge headquarters in Fremont is being replaced with one that meets seismic standards.  Before replacing the bridge, a temporary one-lane road will be installed for visitor and employee access.

In addition to replacing the bridge, Marshlands Road will be repaved from Thornton Avenue to the Visitor Center parking lot, providing a much smoother road for vehicles and bicyclists.

The project is expected to end February 10, 2018. Expect delays entering and leaving the refuge until then.
