Auto Tour

auto tour signs 512x???The staff at Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge has created an auto tour filled with information about the refuge and the natural resources important to the western Kentucky area.

So, how does this tour work? It’s actually very easy! There are 13 different stops throughout the refuge and you just have to call the tour number using your own cell phone, smartphone or by using a tablet and going to the mobile web, entering the stop number listed on the label, and following the prompts it gives you to hear the script for each location.

The tour starts at the refuge headquarters. This is also where you can find brochures of the tour that include a map and GPS locations of each stop to help you find your way. These brochures can also be found here.

Please remember, the auto tour is open during daylight hours only, but the system will recognize your number for up to 24 hours. So, if you get a late start on the tour or need a break for lunch you simply pick right up where you left off!

We also welcome feedback about the tour. So, whether you leave a message on the tour comment line, or contact refuge headquarters, we’d love to hear about your experience.

***Notice: Due to defacement of property, stop 2 is closed to vehicle traffic.***
